Timmins continued to illustrate stories for This Week until 1946. After 1942, his output declined. Below are five illustrations from this period. Story text is omitted throughout for a cleaner appearance. The first three images are scans are from original newsprint. The first two contain black and white illustrations, and I’ve omitted all color (i.e. in the page) for a cleaner presentation. The final two images are scans from newspapers.com. In this body of work, Timmins’ shift to a more glamourous style is present, consistent with his stylistic shift for other publications.
