At the end of his career (and life), Timmins illustrated three children’s books about Native Americans written by Marion Israel. The books were Apaches (1959), Ojibway (aka Chippewa, 1961), and Cherokees (1962). Although we might use different terminology today, the books and illustrations were educational and treated the subject matter with sensitivity. Below are the covers for the three books, along with a few representative images from each.
