Harry did a number of ad illustrations for Hoover vacuums in 1924 and 1925. These black-and-white ads are interesting for their simple elegance, and because they demonstrate a range of work and signature arrangements under which Timmins operated during the course of a two-year engagement. The first ad presented contains two somewhat hidden signatures in the tapestry – Timmins and another artist, who presumably did the tapestry. The second ad illustration is not signed. The third ad illustration is signed. The final one is signed and was produced in the Y&T studio. These ads ran in the women’s magazines and other major magazines.
