Timmins essentially stopped illustrating for Collier’s in late 1943. He had one final assignment in late 1944, with a gap of about a year from the prior assignment. Harry went out with a bang during his final years with Collier’s, producing some of his most pleasing work. Harry’s glamour and pulp styles are on full display in these final illustrations. A goodly sample of images from this period are presented below. Harry’s third cover for Collier’s ran in May 1943. Story text is omitted throughout for a cleaner presentation.
