In 1926, Timmins produced a series of illustrations for Dodge Brothers Motor Cars. The ads ran from May through October in many major magazines, including The Saturday Evening Post, The Ladies’ Home Journal, The American, House Beautiful, and Good Housekeeping. Other than in The Post, the ads ran in black and white. Below is a representative sample of ads from this series. I would provide more from The Post, but the scans are very difficult to clean up! The Post ad series is interesting in that it uses most of the scenes utilized in the black and white series, but they have been re-done to add color and additional detail. Additionally, for the same scene, the copy utilized in The Post ads is often different.
