In 1929, Timmins did ten ad illustrations for Studebaker automobiles. The ads show well-heeled Studebaker owners attending various events of importance in the lives of the American aristocracy. The format allowed Timmins to demonstrate his artistic abilities in a variety of genre subjects. Although Timmins did excellent automobile illustrations, it is not clear whether he illustrated any or all of the automobiles in these ads. One car presented below, for example, has the initials MS immediately below it. The ads ran in many if not most of the major magazines of the day. Five ads from this series are presented below.
