In 1928 and 1929, Timmins illustrated several ads for Sherwin-Williams Paint.  The ads ran in many major magazines.  These bright, clown-themed ads represent a departure from Timmins’ typical style, and speak to his range as a commercial illustrator.  The first two illustrations presented below contain hidden signatures in the bottom left greenery.
